KARACHI: A rapid increase in dengue cases has been observed in Karachi, with 115 new cases reported in the last 24 hours.

According to the report issued by the Sindh Health Department, the number of dengue patients has once again increased in the metropolitan city.

The Sindh Health Department says that 125 cases were reported across Sindh in the last 24 hours, of which 115 are from Karachi.

The Sindh Health Department says that the most affected by dengue is the eastern district, 35 cases have been reported there, while 32 in the central district, 21 in the southern district, 17 in the Korangi district, 4 in the Malir district, 3 in the western district. It also said that 1,066 cases have been reported in Karachi since September 1, while 3,667 cases have been reported across Sindh.

The Sindh Health Department further informed that 9 people have lost their lives due to dengue in Sindh so far.
