KABUL: An explosion at a religious seminary in northern Afghanistan’s Samangan province on Wednesday killed 15 people, a provincial spokesman said.
Samangan provincial government spokesman Imdadullah Mahajer added that at least 20 people were also injured in the blast.
It was not immediately clear who was behind the blast.
The Taliban say they have focused on securing the war-torn country since taking over the country last year, but there have been several attacks in recent months, some of which Daesh has claimed responsibility for.
