3 soldiers of Pakistan Army were martyred in a suicide blast in Waziristan.

Rawalpindi: A suicide bomber blew himself up in the general area of Miran Shah district of North Waziristan on Wednesday, as a result of which 3 soldiers of the Pakistan Army were martyred and 3 civilians were injured.

Naib Subedar Sahib Khan (age 41, resident of Mianwali), Naik Muhammad Ibrahim (age 40, resident of Dera Ismail Khan) and Sepoy Jahangir Khan (aged 24, resident of Mardan) embraced martyrdom while three innocent civilians were seriously injured. . .

The aim of the suicide bomber was to target the checkpoint of the security forces. However, a major disaster was averted by the timely arrest of the suspected suicide bomber by the soldiers on duty.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan Army said in a statement on Wednesday that Pakistan’s security forces are committed to eradicating the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices by our brave soldiers strengthen our resolve.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed deep sorrow and regret over the martyrdom of Pakistan Army soldiers in the suicide attack in North Waziristan’s Miran Shah area on Wednesday.

The Prime Minister paid tribute to the soldiers of Pakistan Army who laid down their lives in the defense of the motherland and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the suicide attack.

The Prime Minister condoled with the families of the martyred soldiers and said that these soldiers of the Pakistan Army sacrificed their lives by thwarting the suicide attack and saved the nation from a disaster.

He said that Pakistani nation will never forget the sacrifices of martyred soldiers. The Prime Minister said that the brave men of our armed forces are defending the survival of the land by sacrificing their blood and thwarting the nefarious intentions of anti-Pakistan elements.
