Ghotki: 5 policemen were martyred in an attack by dacoits in the rough area of Obaro in Ghotki. This was reported by JEE News on Sunday.
Among the police officers who lost their lives are a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and two Station House Officers (SHOs).
According to Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Javed Jaskani, a police camp was set up in Kacha area to recover the hostages from Ronti area.
More than 150 bandits attacked the police camp, killing five officials, including a DSP and two SHOs, the DIG said.
A heavy contingent of police has been dispatched to the area where the policemen were attacked.
The police say that the bodies of the martyrs are still in the possession of the robbers.
