6 Pakistan Army person including 2 majors martyred in a helicopter crash in Balochistan, ISPR

Rawalpindi: The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Monday that six soldiers, including two majors, were martyred when a helicopter crashed in Balochistan.

According to the media wing of the army, a Pakistani army helicopter crashed during a flying mission near Khost area of Harnai Balochistan late at night.

According to ISPR, the martyred soldiers have been identified as Pilot Major Mohammad Muneeb Afzal, Pilot Major Khurram Shahzad, Naik Jalil, Subedar Abdul Wahid, Sepoy Mohammad Imran and Sepoy Shoaib.

The martyred Major Khurram Shahzad, 39, was a resident of Attock and left behind a widow and a daughter, while Major Muhammad Muneeb Afzal, 30, was a resident of Rawalpindi and had two sons.

Subidar Abdul Wahid, 44, hailed from Sabirabad village in Karak and is survived by a widow and four children, while Sepahi Muhammad Imran, 27, a resident of Makhdoompur in Khanewal, is survived by a widow and three children. are

30-year-old Naik Jalil was a resident of Bhatta village in Gujarat. He left behind a widow and two children. The 35-year-old soldier Shoaib was a resident of Khatarphatti village in Attock. He is survived by a widow and a son.

Last month, six Pakistan Army personnel, including Commander XII Corps Lieutenant General Sarfaraz Ali, were martyred in a helicopter accident in Wunder city of Lasbela district of Balochistan.

In a brief statement, ISPR said the incident occurred due to inclement weather during flood relief operations.

Expressing deep sorrow over the tragic incident, Chief Minister Punjab Pervez Elahi expressed his heartfelt sympathy to the families of the martyred soldiers.

Paying tribute to the martyrs, he said that they sacrificed their lives in fulfillment of duty. The nation is proud of his sense of duty. Martyrs are heroes of the nation.

The nation salutes the martyred military officers, Chief Minister Punjab said that the great sacrifices of the martyrs can never be forgotten.
