Karachi: A Turkish Airlines flight from Istanbul to Thailand made an emergency landing at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport.
According to the sources, the captain of the flight asked permission to land the plane due to the commotion due to the passenger. The flight’s hospitality staff informed the captain of the passenger’s complaints after which the aircraft was brought down to the airport.
Sources also said that on the captain’s complaint, the security forces took off the flight after offloading and arresting the foreign passenger.
According to sources, the passenger has been transferred to the airport’s transit lounge and will be sent back to Turkey on the next flight.
Indian plane in Karachi
In August, an Indian plane carrying a dozen passengers also landed in Karachi.
According to reports, the special flight departed from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad, India and landed at Karachi Airport at 12:10 PM.
Shortly after landing in Karachi, the special flight took off with 12 passengers on board. It is not yet clear why the plane landed at Karachi Airport.
