Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Saturday expressed his willingness to stop the dissolution of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assemblies if the coalition government agrees to hold elections by the end of March next year.

If they are ready for elections by the end of March, we will not dissolve the assemblies. Otherwise, we want to dissolve Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab Assemblies and hold elections,” Khan said in an interview to a private news channel.

He added that his party would not agree on any date after March and if the government did not agree, the assemblies would be dissolved this month [December].

“How long will they take to decide? They will either have to say yes or no. We have already decided,” the former prime minister said, indicating his tentative stance on talks with the government on the election date. He said.

If they [the government] want, we can talk to them about the date on which the elections can be held. There is no way for elections after the budget,” he said, adding that the government would thus bring the country down.

Do they want elections in 66% of the country and then general elections? Khan asked that they announce the date of elections soon.

Commenting on PTI’s strength in Punjab, the former prime minister said the “game” was no longer in Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Zardari’s hands as Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi PTI. Standing with Me.

When asked if Chief Minister Elahi had given him the signed summary, Khan said that the Chief Minister had given him full power to dissolve the Assembly whenever he wanted.

During the interview, the former prime minister also said that he will meet his people from KP and Punjab in the next four to five days.

On trusting Bajwa
For the first time after spending three-and-a-half years with former Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa, the PTI chief said: “Giving him (General Bajwa) an extension was my biggest mistake. “

“I will trust everything former army chief General Bajwa says. I will tell him that we are both thinking of the country. Our goal is one – to save the country,” Khan said.

The former prime minister further said that I don’t know how he was lied to and cheated.

“I knew during the last few days and I also received a report from the Intelligence Bureau (IB) about a game being played,” Khan said, adding that his informant from the IB told him after the scare. Will inform orally not in writing.

“I trust people. I even tell my children that a brave man does not doubt anyone,” Khan said.

‘New setup should be given a chance’
Recalling that he had also conveyed his message through President Arif Alvi, Khan claimed that the PTI had become stronger since April.

Referring to the newly appointed Chief of Army Staff, General Asim Munir, Khan said the new set-up had arrived and “he should be given a chance.”

The cricketer-turned-politician added that officials at Adiala Jail told PTI leader Shehbaz Gul, where he was kept after his arrest in a sedition case, that he was being pressured.

“We know that handlers were behind what happened,” Khan claimed, adding that he told them that he was a public leader and was in power through the people “and I was not brought up in an army nursery. It happened.”

‘NAB was not under my control’
The former prime minister reminded that at first he did not understand why the powerful are not held accountable. However, “I later realized that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was not under my control. It was under someone else’s control and the problem was that they did not consider corruption as a bad practice.

“Those who are afraid to hold elections because they fear defeat want me dead,” he said, referring to the attack on him during the PTI’s long march to Islamabad on November 3.

The PTI chairman said that he believed that the number of supporters would decrease with time. However, the number of supporters grew over time.

He said: “[Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) supremo Nawaz Sharif is afraid that if I come to power, his billions of dollars will be at risk.

He said that Nawaz and Zardari leave no chance to leave the country and run abroad, both of them want to see me behind the bars.

Accusing Zardari of being involved in corruption cases in the past, Khan said: “It is a sign of doomsday that Zardari is saying that NAB will send me to jail.”

The PTI chief, citing his low number of seats in Sindh, said that he would campaign in Sindh and defeat Zardari.

After the dismissal of Lieutenant General Hamid from the ISI, the implementation of the game plan began.
Referring to the alleged conspiracies against his government, the PTI chairman said the execution of the game plan against him began after the removal of Lt Gen Faiz Hameed from the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).

Accusing the former army chief of treason, Khan said that whenever he asked Bajwa about the conspiracy, he replied that he wanted continuity.

The former prime minister said he complained to Bajwa that his allies were insinuating that the army was forcing them to change their allegiance and that he was saying the forces were “neutral”.

He revealed that leaders of MQMP and other parties had also told him about the role of former Army Chief General Bajwa.

“We were surprised that they were telling me something else and we were getting other signals from there,” Khan said.

Khan said giving extension to General Bajwa was a “big mistake”.

Commenting on his past decision, the former prime minister said: “Even then I thought that no one should be extended in the army, but circumstances arose that forced me to take this decision.

“After the extension decision, I felt that they (army) have started talking to PML-N.”

The PTI chief said that he was sure that the army had also given some assurance to the PML-N and added that he was aware that they had removed Lt Gen Hamid from the post of ISI chief. Decided to remove them after being removed.
