Rawalpindi: England beat Pakistan by 74 runs in the first Test in Rawalpindi on Monday to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.
England scored 657 runs in their first innings and declared their second innings at 264-7, setting Pakistan an unbeaten target of 343 runs.
Pakistan fought hard and scored 268 before being bowled out in a spectacular final session, with Saud Shakeel scoring 76 for them.
James Anderson (4-36) and Ollie Robinson (4-50) were England’s most successful bowlers, while Jack Leach took the winning wicket.
The second Test in Multan will start from Friday.
