One of the most loved actresses of the Indian film industry, Deepika Padukone, is all set to fly to Qatar to unveil the trophy at this year’s FIFA World Cup finals.
Indian entertainment website, Economic Times reported that Deepika Padukone will be the first Indian actress to unveil the FIFA World Cup trophy during the finals.
The final of the tournament is scheduled to take place on December 18 at the iconic Lusail Stadium in Qatar.
According to reports, the Bajirao Mastani actor will soon fly to Qatar to attend one of the most watched events anywhere in the world.
This unique honor for the 36-year-old actor comes months after Padukone represented India globally as a jury member at the Cannes Film Festival.
Prior to Padukone, Indian-Canadian actor, and dancer Noora Fathi performed at the FIFA World Cup 2022 Fan Fest at Beida Park in Doha.
There she performed that year’s World Cup anthem Light the Sky as part of an all-female duo and was the only woman to contribute a subcontinental flavor by adding Urdu/Hindi lyrics to a multilingual song. He also performed some of his hit songs, like Saki Saki, Manike and others.
On the work front, the Chennai Express actor will be seen in Pathan alongside John Abraham and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
The film is slated to release next year around India’s Republic Day i.e. January 25.
Moreover, Padukone was recently seen in the trailer of Ranveer Singh’s upcoming film Circus.
As seen in the trailer, she will share the screen with her husband in a dance number directed by Rohit Shetty.
