He said that Pakistan is determined to take its relations with Qatar to the next level.
Bilawal will also meet football fans while watching matches at the stadium.
Bilawal mentioned Lyari in his meeting with the FIFA president because the love of the residents of the neighborhood for football is evident. Football-mad Lyari is also known as “Mini Brazil”.
Despite the fact that Pakistan has never qualified for the FIFA World Cup, many youngsters enroll in football academies in Lyari and train for hours every day. He hopes to reach the international stage one day.
The enthusiasm of the residents of Lyari is so great that it seems as if the World Cup is being played in Lyari and not in Qatar. Thousands turned out in Mini Brazil when Brazil took on Switzerland, sporting their favorite team’s classic yellow and green colors as they gathered in front of giant television screens to raucous music.
The fans erupted in joy and danced as Brazil beat Switzerland 1-0 to seal their place in the knockout stages.
