The farmhouse of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Azam Khan Swati in Chak Shahzad area of Islamabad has been sealed, JEE News reported on Saturday.

On Friday, the PTI leader’s farmhouse was sealed by the Capital Development Authority (CDA). CDA officials said the property was sealed for violation of building rules.

The CDA issued a final notice to Swati’s wife last month for illegal construction on their farmhouse in Islamabad.

This development took place when Sindh Police detained Azam Swati from Quetta. The PTI leader will be transferred to Sindh where two cases are registered against him.

The politician’s lawyer Iqbal Shah told sources that although the Balochistan High Court had ordered the separatist’s release, the provincial police had handed over his custody to the Sindh police.

Shah told sources that Senator Swati will be flown to the southernmost province of the country by a special plane.

PTI leader Qasim Khan Suri also confirmed the development, terming the Sindh government’s move as “regrettable” in the wake of the BHC order in favor of the senator.

On his official Twitter handle, the former Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly also posted a petition from Swati’s daughter questioning the rule of law in the country.

Government’s decision to suspend passport and identity card
According to a report in Daily Jang, the government has decided to “suspend” Azam Swati’s passport and identity card.

The report quoted sources as saying that NADRA will follow the recommendation of the Federal Investigation Agency.
