Govt expected to remove SECP chairman Aamir Khan: Sources

ISLAMABAD: Citing sources, JEE News reported on Friday that the federal government is likely to remove Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) chairman Aamir Khan.

Sources told JEE News that the government is considering appointing Akif Saeed as the new SECP chairman. It is learned that the present Chairman Aamir Khan will be retained as SECP Commissioner.

It may be mentioned here that interviews were conducted for three vacancies for SECP commissioners and the government is expected to make the appointments soon.

Sources said that the federal cabinet has already approved the names of Akif Saeed, Abdul Rehman Waraich and Mujtaba Lodhi for the posts.
