The first season of Netflix’s original American comedy series Mo arrived on the platform on August 24, 2022.
Created by Mohammad Amir and Rami Youssef, the series is based on the life of Amir himself, a Palestinian refugee who moved from Kuwait to Houston, Texas.
According to What’s on Netflix, the show became one of the most-watched series in the comedy genre and received a 90% viewership score on Rotten Tomatoes and a series rating of 7.6/10 on IMDb.
Aamir recently attended the Red Sea Film Festival and responded to a question about Season 2, saying, “Ask Netflix, I don’t know what’s going on. We just won awards and we’re top 10. In the lists. Don’t know what’s going on.”
According to the outlet, the streaming platform has yet to make an official statement regarding the renewal of the series.
