The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has decided not to challenge the acquittal of Muslim League (N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz and her husband Captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar in the Avenfield reference.
NAB has informed the prosecution branch through a letter.
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on September 29 acquitted Maryam Nawaz and her husband Muhammad Safdar in the Avonfield reference.
The court annulled the punishments awarded by the accountability court.
The decision came after NAB told the court that Maryam Nawaz had no role in the purchase of Avenfield Apartments.
