LAHORE: The Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) has demanded seat adjustment with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in 25 constituencies before the dissolution of the Punjab Assembly, sources told JEE News.
The development took place on Thursday during a meeting of the Muslim League (Q) delegation headed by former federal minister Chaudhry Munis Elahi with PTI chairman Imran Khan in Lahore, when political activities in the country were suspended before the dissolution of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab assemblies. was on the rise. .
Sources say that MNA Chaudhry Hussain Elahi also participated in the meeting in which the main issue related to the dissolution of the assembly was discussed.
He said that the Muslim League-Q wants to finalize the seat adjustment with the PTI before its dissolution and in case of new or by-elections, both parties will emerge as electoral allies.
Sources said that Muslim League (Q) wants its share in at least 25 general seats in Punjab in the next elections.
Chief Minister Pervez Elahi has given Gujarat divisional status and various tehsils to district status in the past few weeks – a move analysts believe is for political gain.
The leadership of Muslim League (Q) wants to field its candidates from Wazirabad and some parts of South Punjab. Negotiations are ongoing on all such issues.

Meanwhile, Parvaiz Elahi reiterated his pledge to stand by Imran Khan through thick and thin in a meeting with President Dr. Arif Alvi at the Chief Minister’s Office, adding that he owes the post of Chief Minister to the PTI chief.
Muslim League-Q leaders Monis Elahi and Hussain Elahi were also present.
Both sides discussed issues of mutual interest and the political and economic situation of the province.
