LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) management committee on Friday informed the PCB governing board members and the heads of the selection committee, including chief selector Muhammad Wasim, about his dismissal, sources told JEE News.
Officials familiar with the development said that the PCB had informed the officials that their post was no longer valid after the expiry of the PCB’s 2019 constitution.
Chief Selector Mohammad Wasim was also informed of his dismissal via email today. The Women and Junior Selection Committees will also be reconstituted.
End of 2019 Constitution

Following the dissolution of the 2019 PCB constitution, Najam Sethi, chairman of the governing body of the sport’s management committee, announced that “Cricket is no longer under the leadership of Rameez Raja.”

To revive the 2014 constitution of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday formed an administrative committee and named former PCB chief Najam Sethi as its head.
The Executive Committee was tasked with revoking the PCB Constitution 2019 approving the proposal in para 7 of the summary.
To initiate this process, the proposal and names of the persons included in the committee will be placed before the Federal Cabinet.
Other committee members nominated by the prime minister include star all-rounder Shahid Afridi, former Pakistan women’s captain Sana Mir, former Test cricketer Haroon Rashid and former cricketer Shafqat Rana.
Names of former PCB Board of Governors members including Shakeel Sheikh, Gulzada, Nauman Butt, Ayaz Butt and Arif Saeed are also included in the committee.
Other members included Supreme Court Advocate Mustafa Ramday, former Quetta Association President Gul Muhammad, former Larkana President Tanveer Ahmed and former PCB National High Performance Center Director Ayez Syed.
