The Lahore High Court (LHC) earlier this week reinstated Elahi as chief minister in the country’s largest province on the condition that he not overturn the legislation, but barred him from taking a vote of confidence. no.
The court will hear the case again on January 11 and Imran Khan, speaking to senior journalists in the provincial capital today, said that Pervez Elahi would take a vote of confidence before that.
The ousted prime minister said that after the vote of confidence, PTI intends to dissolve the Legislative Assembly not only in Punjab but also in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Defending the delay in dissolving the assemblies, the PTI chief said the party has to convince its allies before taking a big step.
The PTI and the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) are currently consulting on the date of dissolution and seat adjustment before contesting the elections. However, for the date of dissolution, the PML-Q has repeatedly said that it is awaiting Imran’s instructions.
But both the PTI and the Muslim League-Q have emphasized that sooner or later the assemblies will be dissolved.

Reiterating his prediction about the general elections, the PTI chief said he predicts the polls to be held in April 2023 – just a day after he claimed it could be held in March or April. Is.
The Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM)-led coalition government has repeatedly turned down PTI’s demand for snap polls, reiterating that they will be held on schedule.
Apart from this, Information and Broadcasting Minister Maryam Aurangzeb laughed at Imran’s predictions and said that general elections will be held after the constitutional term of the coalition government is over.
Reacting to the PTI chairman’s remarks, he said, “Elections will not be held on mere predictions, but will be held on completion of the constitutional term (of the coalition government).”
However, the minister questioned Imran whether his prediction about general elections was aimed at April 2024.

‘True Freedom’
On the occasion of the 146th birth anniversary of the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the PTI chief lamented that the nation had forgotten his vision.
In a series of tweets, Imran said that one of the main reasons why Pakistanis failed to understand Jinnah’s vision for Pakistan was the absence of justice through the rule of law.
The PTI chief said that justice ensures equality before the law for all citizens. “It leads to real freedom, real liberty, and the protection of the rights of citizens,” he said.
This in turn protects them from elite capture of the State & govt. Unfortunately in Pakistan bec Rule of Law was never allowed to be established, elite capture of the country has allowed powerful institutions & mafias to remain above the law as if it was their right.
