In his address, the foreign minister also linked the rise in terrorism to Imran’s election as prime minister and criticized the PTI chief for trying to reason with terrorists during his tenure.
“Benazir Bhutto lost her life fighting terrorism. We also launched an operation against terrorists, but who allowed this cricketer [Imran] to negotiate with terrorists?” he asked.
Bilawal asked on whose permission the former prime minister “bowed before the terrorists and negotiated with them”. “Who freed the terrorists from the jails? Who allowed the terrorists to stay here and neither recognized the constitution nor surrendered their arms?”
The PPP leader added: “Today terrorism is resurfacing […] because a cricketer was made the prime minister.”
He said that the coalition government will take all measures to break the back of the terrorists.

Bilawal also said that Pakistan suffered from the worst economic crisis during the PTI regime and Imran committed suicide on the economy to save his seat.
“For the first time,” he added, Pakistan was facing the threat of default, but the coalition government turned its back on it.
The PPP chief also said that the flood was “the doomsday before the doomsday”. He added that during the climate disaster, the country suffered a loss of 30 billion dollars and one-third of the land was submerged.
