The former prime minister accused General (retd) Bajwa of hiring Hussain Haqqani, Pakistan’s former ambassador to America, for lobbying in America.
Haqqani was accused of having called for US action against the Pakistani military in a so-called memo after the US raid on Osama bin Laden’s compound in Abbottabad in 2011, citing growing rifts between the civilian and military leadership.
