Afghan land is being used against Pakistan, Khawaja Asif

Despite an agreement with the Taliban government, Afghanistan’s territory is being used against Pakistan, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif urged the Taliban to fulfill their commitments made in the Doha Accord.

The Afghan government had promised Islamabad that its territory would not be used against Pakistan, the minister said after the conclusion of the National Security Committee (NSC) meeting in Islamabad. said on Monday’s episode of

He pointed out that 58 percent of all terrorist incidents in Pakistan occur in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), some of which also occur in Balochistan.

“We will have to take tough decisions. We will ensure that the middle and lower income sections of the society are not overburdened,” he vowed.

NSC’s decision not to allow anyone to facilitate terrorists
Earlier on Monday, the National Security Committee headed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif decided that no country will be allowed to provide shelter and facilities to terrorists and Pakistan reserves all rights to protect its people.

According to an official statement issued by the Prime Minister’s House on Monday, these resolutions came during the 40th session of the NSC in Islamabad.

Also on Friday, the NSC vowed to respond strongly to resurgent terrorism in the country and termed militants as “enemies of Pakistan”.

The law and order situation in the country has deteriorated since last few months. Terrorist groups including the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) carried out terrorist attacks across the country.
