ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Wednesday rejected Indian Foreign Minister Subramaniam Jaishankar’s “baseless and frivolous” allegations, calling the Indian official’s statement on New Delhi’s failure to discredit and isolate Islamabad “increasingly A reflection of despair”.

Earlier this week, the Indian minister launched a veiled attack on Pakistan during a press conference in Vienna along with his Austrian counterpart, Alexander Schillenberg.

“We discussed the threats to international peace and security posed by terrorism, including its cross-border operations, violent extremism, extremism and radicalization. Their impact cannot be contained in any region. are especially when they are deeply connected to drug and illegal arms trade and other forms of transnational crime. Since the epicenter is very close to India, naturally our experiences and insights are useful to others. are,” he alleged.

Responding to media queries today, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said: “Pakistan rejects the baseless and frivolous allegations leveled by the Indian Foreign Minister. His latest statement reflects growing frustration over India’s failure to discredit and isolate Pakistan.

He said that for the last several years, India has been engaged in a nefarious campaign to mislead the international community through fake narrative of victimhood and anti-Pakistan propaganda.

“This practice should be stopped.”

The official added that India’s persistent anti-Pakistan narrative cannot hide its brazen involvement in fueling terrorism on Pakistani soil. Nor can it hide the reality of state-sponsored terrorism in India’s illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

“Instead of pointing fingers at others, India itself should end its involvement in terrorism, sabotage and espionage against Pakistan.”

Just a few weeks ago, he said, a dossier was released containing incontrovertible evidence confirming India’s involvement in a 2021 terror attack in a peaceful neighborhood in Lahore.

“From the killing of over 40 Pakistani nationals on Indian soil in the 2007 Samjhauta Express tragedy to the arrest of serving Indian Navy Commander Kulbhushan Yadav inside Pakistan in 2016, evidence of India’s involvement in terrorism and subversion is mounting. are undeniable. And span decades and geographies,” he recalled.
