The Islamabad Accountability Court on Saturday issued a written order freezing the assets and bank accounts of Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.
The court revoked the 2017 order, which had frozen the minister’s assets.
After Ishaq Dar was declared a fugitive, his assets and bank accounts were seized.
The order also said that Dar’s trial is also over as it is outside the jurisdiction of the accountability court.
Meanwhile, the Lahore administration restored the minister’s frozen assets on the order of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on December 29.
Dar once again retained ownership of his property Hajveri House in Gulberg area of Lahore.
The Lahore administration had also written to all the banks to restore the frozen bank accounts of the minister.
