The remake of Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit starrer ‘Tezaab’ is not with Kartik Aaryan and Shraddha Kapoor but with Ranveer Singh and Jhanvi Kapoor.
Earlier, reports surfaced that filmmaker Murad Khetani had bought the rights of the film and roped in Kartik and Shraddha as the leads. But now there are reports doing the rounds that Ranveer and Jhanvi have been approached for the film.
According to sources, “The plan was to cast Shraddha Kapoor and Kartik Aaryan. However, Murad Khetani and the team have now decided to approach Janhvi and Ranveer for the project.
Karthik and Shraddha were the leads of the film. However, due to some reasons, the makers have now decided to approach Jhanvi Kapoor and Ranveer Singh for the same roles. Sources added that initially, the makers of ‘Aid’ remake had approached Ranveer earlier, and wanted Janhvi in the film instead of Shraddha.
Acid was released in 1988 starring Anil and Madhuri. The film and its songs proved to be huge hits.
On the work front, Ranveer Singh is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani opposite Alia Bhatt. Meanwhile, Janhvi Kapoor will next be seen in Baawal opposite Varun Dhawan, reports JEE News.
