Former Army Chief General (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa attended the wedding of the daughter of former Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) chief Lt Gen (r) Faiz Hamid, JEE News reported on Sunday.
Anusha Chaudhary, Hamid’s daughter, recently got married. According to media reports, his wedding ceremony was attended by many important personalities and politicians.

Retirement
General (retd) Bajwa – one of the longest-serving military officers in Pakistan’s history – retired from his post on November 29, 2022, after six years in the post.
He spent more than 44 years in the army, as he joined the Pakistan Army in 1978 and was commissioned on 24 October 1980. Bajwa spent 2,190 days (six years) with the armed forces in his career. He replaced General Raheel Sharif on November 29, 2016.
During his tenure, the former COAS worked with five prime ministers: Nawaz Sharif, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Justice Retired Nasir-ul-Mulk, Imran Khan and Shahbaz Sharif and two presidents: late Mamnoon Hussain and Dr. Arif Alvi.
Meanwhile, Hamid had filed an application for early retirement from the army after the federal government appointed General Asim Munir as the new Army Chief and General Mirza as the Chief JCSC.
Hamid was among the six senior military officers nominated by the General Headquarters (GHQ) for the post of Army Chief.
