Army Chief General Asim Munir met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and “reviewed bilateral relations and ways to enhance them,” JEE News Reported early Monday.

During the reception, according to JEE News, the army chief and the Saudi crown prince “reviewed a number of issues of mutual concern as well as bilateral relations and ways to enhance them.”
JEE News reported that Saudi Arabia’s Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman and National Security Adviser Dr. Musa bin Mohammed Al-Aiban also attended the reception.
The Army Chief is on an official visit to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from January 4. He is expected to return to Pakistan on January 10.
This is General Munir’s first foreign official visit after assuming the post of Army Chief.
ISPR said that during the week-long visit, the army chief will hold meetings with the top leadership of the two countries and focus on issues of mutual interest, military-to-military cooperation and bilateral relations and discuss security-related issues. Will talk.
Doors of Kaaba were opened for General Munir.
Earlier today, The News reported that General Munir performed Umrah where the doors of Kaaba were opened for him.
In a video posted on Instagram, General Munir can be seen walking out of the Kaaba along with some others. The army chief was wearing a black jacket and pants.
It was reported that the doors of the Holy Kaaba were opened for the top general in a display of extraordinary hospitality, JEE News reports. Gen Munir, who is a Hafiz-e-Quran, offered prayers inside Kaaba.
Another clip shows the army chief visiting Masjid-e-Nabwi (SAW), the second holiest mosque in Islam, with Saudi security personnel escorting him.

Command conversion in GHQ
General Munir took over the command of Pakistan Army from General Qamar Javed Bajwa in a ceremony held at General Headquarters (GHQ) Rawalpindi in November last year.
With the change of command, General Munir became the 17th Army Chief.
General Munir was commissioned in the 23rd Frontier Force Regiment in 1986. He passed out from the 17th Officers Training Course Mangala and was awarded the sword of honour.
Before assuming charge, he was posted as Quartermaster General at General Headquarters.
