Singer Sonu Nigam recently reacted to the boycott Bollywood trend.
The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister is currently on a two-day visit to Mumbai to promote India’s most film-friendly state. Many celebrities including; Ravi Kishan, Jackie Shroff, Subash Ghai, Rajpal Yadav, Jackie Bhagnani, Sunil and Sonu were present in the session.
Commenting on the boycott trend, Sonu said: “Why should I talk to people who don’t understand what I want to say? Everyone should just put their heads down and move on – both artists and people on social media.
When asked to comment on the recent controversy surrounding the Pathan song Besharam Rang, the Kal Ho Na Ho singer chose not to react and comment on the matter.
During the session he was also asked if he thought Uttar Pradesh would continue to dominate the film industry to which he replied: “We have seen a lot of changes in Uttar Pradesh over the years. My family too. Belongs to UP so keep hearing first hand news from him. There has been a lot of security and peace. People are starting to understand.”
“Now there is talk of opening up the film industry, which is great. Mumbai is the mother of all. People start learning from here, they struggle here. I learned to work hard here. We have a work culture in Mumbai. If Film City opens in UP, it will have no impact on Maharashtra, JEE News reported.
