The Banking Court on Saturday issued a final warning to former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan to appear before the court in the next hearing on January 31.
The order issued by Islamabad Banking Court Judge Rukhshanda Shaheen noted Imran’s absence from the previous hearing of the case.
Judge Shaheen said that Imran’s lawyer had sought exemption from personal appearance as he was shot in both legs.
The learned judge noted that Imran is being granted a one-day immunity but has been warned to appear in court on January 31 next hearing.
Imran was warned of possible action against him for failing to do so.
The court also ordered the PTI chief to join the investigation as soon as possible.
