Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Mehmood Khan announced the dissolution of the provincial assembly on Saturday.

A day ago, the Chief Minister prepared a summary of the dissolution of the Provincial Assembly. Apart from this, Chief Minister Punjab Pervaiz Elahi also signed the summary of dissolution of the provincial assembly.

Addressing a function in Peshawar, the Chief Minister said that when the summary of dissolution of KP Assembly will be sent to Governor Haji Ghulam Ali, copies will also be given to journalists.

He added that we will start again from zero.

Mehmood said that people belonging to the middle class are worried about inflation. He further said that the federal government is still sitting on the funds of the KP government.

“The Center is not releasing salaries of civil servants in Federally Administered Tribal Areas,” the chief minister said, adding that the KP government was paying them from provincial funds.

On Friday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) provincial president Pervez Khattak said that after the dissolution of the Punjab Assembly, the KP legislation will also end. He asked the PTI workers to start preparing for the next election.

He said that Chief Minister Punjab had sent the summary of dissolution of Punjab Assembly to the Governor on the order of party chairman Imran Khan.

He said that the Punjab Assembly will be dissolved after two days, even if the governor does not sign the summary.

Khattak said that the government and its allies are avoiding elections because they cannot face the people who are facing many problems due to their poor economic policies. He said that skyrocketing inflation has made it impossible for common people to live.

He said that friendly countries are also reluctant to help Pakistan financially at this critical juncture. He said that Pakistan has become alone in the United Nations.

Pervez Khattak said that the only solution to the problems faced by the country is holding elections. He said that the leaders of the Pakistan Democratic Movement do not have the ability to take the country out of the current crisis.
