Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on Sunday announced that the prices of petroleum products in the country will remain unchanged for the next fortnight i.e. till January 31.
In his video address, the finance minister said rates would remain the same from January 16-31 — a move that could invite criticism from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

It should be noted that in the second quarter (October-December) of the financial year 2022-23 there was an overall decline in prices:
22.63 per liter in petrol price
19.63 per liter in the price of high speed diesel
28.28 per liter in the price of light diesel oil
30.19 per liter in kerosene price
The government had last reduced the prices of petroleum products by Rs 10 per liter on December 15.
