ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has asked his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi to hold serious and sincere talks with New Delhi in an effort to resolve issues including India’s illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). .

In an interview, the Prime Minister said: “My message to the Indian leadership and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is that let us sit at the table and have a serious and sincere discussion to resolve burning issues like Kashmir.” “

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said there were blatant violations of human rights in the IIOJK, adding that the neighboring country had usurped any semblance of autonomy granted to Kashmiris under Article 370 of the Indian Constitution. The autonomy was revoked in August 2019.

The Prime Minister also said that minorities are being oppressed in India. “It should stop so that the message goes across the world that India is ready to talk.”

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that Pakistan and India are neighbors and they have to live with each other.

“It is up to us whether we live in peace and develop or fight with each other, and waste time and resources. We have had three wars with India and it has brought more misery, poverty and unemployment to the people. We have learned our lesson and we want to live in peace provided we are able to solve our real problems.

“We want to end poverty, achieve prosperity, and provide education and health facilities and employment to our people and not waste our resources on bombs and ammunition,” he added. This is the message I want to convey to Prime Minister Modi.”

The Prime Minister said that both countries are nuclear powers and are armed to the teeth. He said that if God forbids the war to break out, who will be alive to know what happened?

He said that the leadership of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) can play an important role in bringing Pakistan and India closer to each other, adding that he would hold sincere discussions with the Indian leadership.

He said that Saudi Arabia is a friendly and brotherly country and they have a unique brotherly relationship for centuries.

He recalled that before the creation of Pakistan and separation from India, millions of Muslims had fraternal ties with Saudi Arabia and used to visit Mecca and Medina.

UAE second home for Pakistanis
Speaking about his official visit to the UAE, the Prime Minister said that the Gulf country is a second home for millions of Pakistanis and as Prime Minister.

He said that the President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan is a dear brother and a great supporter of Pakistan and wants the people of Pakistan to develop and prosper.

“Pakistan and the leadership of the Gulf countries have resolved to cooperate with each other in the field of trade and culture and to promote Islam as a religion of peace and avoid all forms of terrorism. We as strategic partners Working together.”

The Prime Minister said that without the solid and solid support of the brotherly Gulf countries and Saudi Arabia, who are reliable and trustworthy partners, Pakistan’s problems and difficulties would not be reduced.

He said that the Pakistani nation is resilient and courageous and will stand on its own feet by promoting trade and investment.

In response to a question, he said that what is happening in the co-existence world and Eastern Europe has destroyed the world and the prices of commodities are skyrocketing.
