A fire broke out in a historic building in Lima on Friday as protests against Peruvian President Dina Bolvarate continued.
Firefighters struggled to extinguish the blaze and the Plaza San MartÃn building is believed to have been unoccupied during the blaze.
Dozens of lives have been lost during weeks of protests in Peru since the ouster of former leader Pedro Castillo.
Protesters want Ms Bolwart to step aside and call for new elections, and for Mr Castillo, her leftist predecessor, to be released from custody.
