Pakistan Super League 2022 champions Lahore Qalandars will begin their campaign in their hometown on February 4 for the eighth edition of the tournament.
The six-day training camp will be held under the state-of-the-art facilities of Qalandar’s High Performance Center in Lahore.
The entire squad of Qalandars including captain Shaheen Shah Afridi will participate in the camp which will end on February 9.
Director of Cricket Operations Lahore Qalandars Aqib Javed said that the six-day camp will include two intra-squad practice matches and some intense net sessions.

“We have planned an extensive PSL campaign to defend the title, thus all our local players are reporting to Lahore on February 4,” Javed said in a press release.
“The six-day long training session will allow the players to regroup and get ready again.
“Lahore Qalandars is a family and we are in constant touch with our overseas players to bring them to the camp as soon as possible.”
Lahore Qalandars will face 2021 champions Multan Sultans in the opening match of the tournament on February 13 after a spectacular opening ceremony at the Multan Cricket Stadium.
The title holders will then take on arch-rivals Karachi Kings in a fan-favourite tie at the National Bank Cricket Arena on February 19.
Then, in their third round-robin encounter, the Shaheen Shah Afridi-led side will take on Quetta Gladiators at the same venue two days later.
Additionally, the Qalandars will play five of the 10 matches at their home ground, while the remaining five will be played at three different venues.
