Following the allegations of former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s conspiracy to assassinate former President and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari, the PPP vehemently denied the allegations on Saturday. Announced to take legal action.
In a joint press conference on Saturday with senior PPP leaders, including Nayyar Bukhari and Zardari’s spokesperson Farhatullah Babar, the party condemned the allegations, which it termed as false allegations.
He further said that he will take legal action against Imran.
Babar said that Imran Khan seems to have lost his senses after losing power.
He said that if you have lost your senses to lose power, then what is the fault of Zardari?
During the press conference, senior PPP leader and Prime Minister’s advisor on Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan affairs, Qamar Zaman Kaira, wondered if Imran had lost his mind.
He added that whenever Imran gets into trouble politically, he makes such strange allegations to keep himself relevant.
However, he said that this time the allegations are quite serious and they will be given a stern reply.
In this regard, he said that the legal team of People’s Party will take action including sending legal notices in the first stage.
However, he also requested the Supreme Court to take notice of the false allegations leveled against the former president.
If the allegations are substantiated and can be proven, those responsible should face action. But if there is no evidence, Imran should face action, he said.
On the question of removing security from Imran Khan, Kaira said that the security has been removed from outside Imran Khan’s mansion in Islamabad, where he has not been staying for the past several months.
Earlier, Babar said that Imran was a person who was inviting terrorist organizations to open their offices in Pakistan.
