Case of attempted murder has been registered against PML-Q leader Chaudhry Wajahat, son of Musa Elahi

A case has been registered against the leaders of Muslim League-Q in the Kiryanwala police station of Gujarat.

In the FIR, plaintiff Muhammad Ali accused 11 persons, including Chaudhary Wajahat and Musa Elahi, of attacking and firing at his house on January 23 in an attempt to kill him.

Muslim League-Q leaders have already been booked on terrorism charges after an audio was leaked in which they allegedly plotted to kidnap a woman MLA.

In the audio, the duo can be heard threatening the lawmakers and forcing them to go underground. The complainant said that after the audio was leaked, Musa and Wajahat appeared in Kotla Arab Ali Khan with about 25 armed men and terrorized the residents at gunpoint.

The complaint alleged that the armed men allegedly beat up several local people and threatened to abduct and kill the elders of the area. They allegedly opened fire on the elderly and then fled.

It should be noted that after clear differences emerged in the party ranks, the General Council of the Muslim League (Q) removed Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain from the post of party chief and appointed Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain as the party chief in his place.

Rally against police raid on Elahi’s residence
Muslim League-Q supporters held a rally against the raid on Parvez Elahi’s house in Gujarat on Wednesday.

On February 1, Punjab Police raided the residence of former Punjab Chief Minister Pervez Elahi in Gujarat to arrest Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain.

Muslim League (Q) Punjab President Khadija Umar Farooqui led the rally from Muslim League House to Press Club on Davis Road.

Terming the raid as an incident of political revenge, Umar urged the Supreme Court to take notice of the ‘attack’.
