WhatsApp owned by Meta always brings the best updates to its users, making it easy for them to enjoy the experience of connecting with their loved ones.
WabetaInfo reported on Friday that the messaging app is introducing another feature that will allow its users to pin messages in chats and groups in a future update.
The app is rolling out a new update through the Google Play beta program, bringing the version to 2.23.3.17.
However, the feature is still inaccessible to beta testers as it is not ready and is still under development.
This feature will make it easier for users to find important messages in a conversation.

However, if a message is pinned but the recipient is using an older version of WhatsApp, the messaging app will “add a message to the conversation asking to upgrade to the latest version available on the store”.
The feature will also help “improve organization” in groups as it can be difficult to keep track of messages, whether it’s a group of your friends, family or workplace.
These pinned messages will be easily accessible to everyone in the group chat so people know what’s important.
This feature will be released in a future update of the app.
Recent iOS update
According to a report by WABetaInfo, users will be able to react to messages within announcement groups in a new feature that is in development.
According to reports, several users discovered that they were unable to react to messages posted in the WhatsApp community announcement group.
It is not possible to reply to messages in a community announcement group because doing so will make your phone number public. WhatsApp is working on making it so that the user’s phone number is hidden when replying to messages in that particular group.
WABetaInfo has learned that WhatsApp is working on the same feature for a future update of the iOS app.
WhatsApp is “creating an in-app banner to announce an update that brings reactions to messages within the announcing group”.
