The local court of Islamabad will file charges against former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Tuesday (tomorrow) in the Toshakhana case.

The orders were issued by the judge when the PTI chief did not appear in the court for the day’s hearing.
During the hearing, the judge asked Khan’s lawyer Ali Bukhari about his client’s power of attorney.
Meanwhile, the counsel for the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) argued before the court that the power of attorney cannot be presented unless Khan appears in person, and requested the court to issue the former prime minister’s warrant. Arrest should be issued.
On which the court ordered Bukhari to submit the power of attorney by that day. However, the court rejected the request of the commission and directed the PTI chief to submit a surety bond of Rs 20,000 to ensure his attendance at the next hearing.
In compliance with the court’s order, Khan’s lawyer submitted a bond of 20 thousand rupees.
In a major legal victory for the ruling coalition last year, the ECP, in a unanimous verdict in the Toshakhana reference, disqualified former prime minister Imran Khan and ruled that the PTI chief was no longer a member of the National Assembly.
After disqualifying Khan in the Tushakana case, the polling organizing authority approached the court seeking criminal action against the PTI chief for alleged corruption.
