New sanctions will speed up pressure on Putin – Cleverly

Here’s more on the latest round of Russian sanctions announced by Secretary of State James Cleverley.

The government says the package affects six companies that have supplied military equipment such as drones to the Russian government. They include Russian drone maker CST and RT-Komplekt, which makes parts for helicopters used by Russia in its war against Ukraine.

The sanctions also target eight individuals and one entity linked to Russian financial networks.

Cleverly says: “These new sanctions intensify economic pressure on Putin – undermining his war machine to help him dominate Ukraine.

Britain announced new sanctions on Russia.

As President Zielinski heads to Downing Street, the government has just announced a series of new sanctions.

Their focus is on the Russian military and people close to the Kremlin. This includes companies that manufacture parts for drones and helicopters.

Secretary of State James Cunningham argues that the sanctions add economic pain to Russian President Vladimir Putin and his allies.
