Former Punjab Chief Minister Pervez Elahi, who faced allegations of taking kickbacks while in office, will now face an inquiry by the anti-graft watchdog.
The chairman of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has approved an inquiry against Elahi on allegations of corruption in contracts and taking kickbacks.
It was not immediately clear whether other members of Elahi’s administration, elected officials or bureaucrats, would be included in the inquiry.
Elahi is expected to be summoned to the NAB to answer questions related to the allegations.
