LONDON: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) chief Nawaz Sharif has demanded action from the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) after an alleged audio tape surfaced in which former Punjab Chief Minister Pervez Elahi appeared. can be heard talking about settling cases before the court. Elahi did not deny the authenticity of the tapes but said they were taken out of context.
Talking to the media here, Nawaz said that due to characters like this judge, Pakistan is facing a serious crisis today. These audio leaks are unfortunate and should be taken seriously.
Asked if the SJC should be moved, the former prime minister quipped that it was possible that he too would be booked for the alleged leaks as he was a victim of judicial activism.

Nawaz said the “Gang of Five” (Retd General Bajwa, Retd Lt Gen Faiz, Imran Khan, Saqib Nisar, and Asif Saeed Khosa) are responsible for the destruction of Pakistan and should be held accountable.
“What this five-man gang did to me and to Pakistan was criminal. They have harmed Pakistan. Because of characters like them, the situation in Pakistan is out of control. The common man is unable to survive today. Prices are out of control.”
The PML-N founder said that Khan’s era should be compared to his regime when everything was cheaper and cheaper.
“Today people are unable to buy bread. This is a continuation of what happened in Imran Khan’s government. Compare my government with Imran Khan’s four years or compare his years with mine. Let the nation decide which era It was better. The nation should decide when things were cheap and when it was not loadshedding that made Pakistan a nuclear power. The nation will get the answer. Those who destroyed Pakistan must be held accountable. If these people are not held accountable. Pakistan will not be able to move forward.
Nawaz Sharif condemned the former Supreme Court judges who tried the Panama case against him and disqualified him for not taking salary from his son.
