The leg-spinner was seen pointing something with his fingers after dismissing English batsman Jason Roy in PSL 8 against Quetta.
The leg-spinner told Geo News that he wrote “AQ” with his fingers as a tribute to his late father and legendary leg-spinner Abdul Qadir.
He said that he had not planned to celebrate this but it came to him immediately and he decided to pay tribute to his father.
The leg-spinner made his team win by playing a brilliant spell against Quetta. Qadir took two wickets and conceded just 26 runs in his four overs.
Chasing a target of 155 runs set by Quetta Gladiators, Peshawar Zalmi registered their second win of the season with nine balls to spare on Monday.
