PSL 2023: Two English players will join Lahore Qalandars before next match.

Two English players Jordan Cox and Sam Billings will join the Lahore Qalandars squad on February 23 and 25 respectively, the franchise media manager said on Tuesday.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Jordan Cox was representing England Lions against Sri Lanka A in the ODI series that ended on Tuesday. He will join Qalandar’s squad on February 23 while Sam Billings will arrive in Lahore on February 25.

Meanwhile, wicketkeeper-batsman Shai Hope will leave Pakistan to join the West Indies team as ODI captain. The wicketkeeper-batsman scored 47 runs in Qalandars’ win over Gladiators.

In his farewell presser, Hope said he enjoyed playing in the PSL, adding that the standard of the league was very high. “I enjoyed my time here. It’s a great tournament and I had a great time at the Qalandars’ camp. I hope to be back with them soon,” he said.

Qalandars came back strong
After losing against Karachi Kings, Shaheen Afridi-led Qalandars made a strong comeback with a 63-run victory over Quetta Gladiators at the National Bank Cricket Arena (NBCA) in Karachi on Tuesday.

Qalandars will now go to their home ground to play the rest of the league matches. They have won two out of three games in the tournament so far, and are currently second in the points table.

Qalandar’s captain Shaheen Afridi was declared the best player of the match for taking 3 wickets.

They started their PSL 8 campaign with a win against Multan Sultans at their home ground. They went to Karachi to play their next match against the home side where they lost by 67 runs.

Qalandars will leave for Lahore tomorrow.
