CHAMAN/QUETTA: The Levies Force on Wednesday night “recovered” abducted woman Giran Naz, her four sons and a daughter from the alleged custody of Balochistan Minister for Construction and Communications Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran in Barkhan district of the province.

Khan Mohammad Marri, the man whose three family members were killed, accused Khetran of keeping his children in a “private prison”.

This action was taken after protests across Balochistan demanding recovery of missing persons. The provincial minister was also detained by the police for his involvement in the gruesome murder.

However, during the search operations Murri’s wife Giran Naz, who was presumed dead, along with their children Farzana, Abdul Majeed, Abdul Ghaffar, Imran and Abdul Sattar were recovered, according to Levies officials.

The force carried out operations in three districts as the family of Khan Mohammad Marri was held hostage at different locations.

It said that the Levies Quick Response Force conducted operations in East Balochistan and South Punjab to recover the hostages. The force also foiled the attempt to transfer the two kidnapped boys to Punjab.

The Levies Force added that no arrests were made in the operations.

Minister of Balochistan arrested
On Wednesday, Kshetran was arrested in connection with the gruesome murder of three people, police said – as bullet-riddled bodies were found in a well in Barkhan district.

“Sardar Abdul Rahman Khetran is accused of murdering three people and has been detained,” police said, as protesters continued their sit-in in Quetta for the third straight day demanding justice.

The protesters – who have staged a dharna at Fayaz Sambal Chowk with three bodies – are demanding a case against Khetran, stripping him of his ministry and the release of the five jailed people.

Late on Tuesday night, the police also raided the minister’s residence to recover Murree’s five children and sealed the roads leading to Khetran’s house in Quetta’s Patel Bagh.

A police spokesman said a special investigation team was interrogating the minister and raids were being conducted to recover the “kidnapped” people.

The spokesperson said that more arrests are expected in the murder of the mother and her two sons. A few days ago, the woman released a video message claiming that she is in the jail of Sardar Abdul Rahman Khetran.

“A few days after the woman’s video message surfaced, she and her son were found dead in a well in Barkhan,” the spokesperson said.

When pressure mounted on the police, they registered a case against unknown persons under sections 34 (doing any act with intent to cause harm to any person), 202 (disappearing evidence of a crime, or giving false information to a screen offender). . , and 302 (Massacre) of the Pakistan Penal Code.

After coming under heavy criticism, Kshetran denied the allegations of involvement in the killing and claimed to be a “peaceful and law-abiding person”.

He said that the charge of owning a private prison and killing three people is a conspiracy to damage my political reputation.

“If there was a jail, it would be known,” he insisted, “however, if anyone is still in doubt, they can visit my house.”

He further said that these allegations are a “sinister attempt” to deprive him of his “right to regional politics”.
