Microblogging application Twitter on Wednesday announced that all appeals against account suspension and reinstatement will be dealt with within three days.

In a tweet Wednesday, Twitter Safety said: “Since announcing our new criteria for suspension appeals, we’ve been working to reduce the time it takes to review an appeal and make a reinstatement decision. “

He added that appeals are delayed especially when there are multiple accounts or when the suspension happened more than a few years ago.
Twitter Safety added: “We will respond to all appeals we receive and appreciate your patience if you have yet to hear back from us.”
Paid two-factor authentication
On Friday, Twitter said it would only allow paid users to use text messages as a two-factor authentication (2FA) method to secure their accounts.
After March 20, “only Twitter Blue subscribers will be able to use text messages as their two-factor authentication method,” the company tweeted.
Two-factor authentication, which aims to make accounts more secure, requires the account holder to use another method of authentication in addition to a password. Twitter allows 2FA via text message, authentication app and security key.
