Sources say that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has called an emergency meeting with the Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise owners to consider shifting the league’s Lahore and Rawalpindi matches to Karachi to save money. can be done

According to sources, after receiving a bill of Rs 500 million from the provincial government of Punjab, the board is considering shifting the next stage matches to Karachi.

Sources said that the reason behind this move is to save money. According to sources, Sindh government is not receiving anything from PCB for hosting PSL matches in Karachi.

He further said that PCB has already paid Rs 50 million to the Punjab government for food items. However, the provincial government is pressing the board to pay the remaining Rs 450 million as soon as possible.

Originally, Karachi was scheduled to host nine PSL games this season with the last scheduled to be played on February 26 when home team Karachi Kings take on table toppers Multan Sultan at the National Bank Cricket Arena (NBCA). .

According to the preliminary time table, the remaining matches of the league will be played in Lahore and Rawalpindi from February 26.

Rawalpindi, with 11 games, holds the rights to host the most PSL 8 matches this season.

While all important playoffs and finals of the tournament are going to be played at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.

The final will be played on March 19.
