Renowned Balochi folk singer Wasu Khan passed away.

Naseerabad: Renowned Baloch singer Wasu Khan, known for his unique style of singing, has passed away after prolonged illness, family sources confirmed to JEE News on Friday.

He was suffering from respiratory distress and was admitted to a private hospital in Sukkur where he breathed his last.

Wasu Khan rose to fame when he performed with Shahzad Roy in one of his music videos.

The folk singer had played a key role in Roy’s own Owl video and the two had worked together on several projects.

‘We will miss him’
Condoling the death, the Laga Re singer said Wasu Khan passed away this morning.

“He was illiterate, but possessed political intelligence and wrote political satire. We will miss him.”

Financial problems
In August 2020, Khan was going through financial problems when Shahzad Rai came to his rescue.

The singer and education activist had tweeted, “For the last ten years I was in constant touch with Wasu until my entire family got Corona.”

“He didn’t call me, he said he didn’t want to bother me anymore and wanted help from the government. So I came to Quetta to meet him. He asked me to take him to the chief minister, which we did. were found
