Akshay Kumar delivered a hit at the box office in 2021, and in a recent interview he got emotional when he revealed that his films have stopped working since his mother passed away in September 2021. His mother died just a day before his birthday.
He wiped away tears when the host asked him about the failure of his films since his mother left. To which he said that today he has everything except mother. He also told the interviewer about his habit of visiting his mother whenever he returned from work.
After his mother’s death, Akshay tweeted, “She was my center. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the center of my being. My mother Ms. Aruna Bhatia passed away peacefully this morning. And reunited with my father in the other world. I appreciate your prayers as my family and I are going through this. Om Shanti.”
His mother had been ill for some time and was admitted to the hospital in September 2021. He was shooting for a film and returned to Mumbai just before his death.
