Sources say that Federal Minister and PMLN parliamentary group leader Khawaja Muhammad Asif has set the tone for the members of the ruling coalition through his address in the National Assembly on Friday.

He said the PPP intends to play an active role in checking various institutions “which are acting recklessly.”

PMLN, JUI and other coalition parties will stick to the stand that PPP Chairman and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari took on Sunday to ensure democracy and the supremacy of Parliament.

Parliamentary sources told JEE News here on Sunday that PTI members will attend its Senate meeting. They had boycotted the joint session during its ongoing session. Leader of Opposition in the Senate, Dr Shahzad Wasim, was not available for comment on his group’s possible role in the joint session.

It will be an important day tomorrow as the banking court will also hear the case against Imran Khan and it has made it mandatory for him to attend the hearing.

He will draw the minister’s attention to the increasing crime in Islamabad, especially against women. Sources also said that a discussion on the motion presented by Federal Minister Murtaza Javed Abbasi is also on the agenda, in which the President will be thanked for his address to both the Houses of Parliament that met on October 6, 2022. . He said that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is expected to attend the joint meeting. He did not attend the ongoing session of the National Assembly and stayed away when the House passed the Supplementary Finance Bill.
