I feel embarrassed as a Pakistani to witness the depths we have sunk to thanks to this imported regime of a cabal of crooks & their handlers. In desperation to cling to power & muzzle all dissenting voices, they have jailed a respected, patriotic Pakistani on sedition charges. pic.twitter.com/YCo9F371vU

Lieutenant General (retd) Amjad Shoaib is currently in police custody on three-day physical remand.
This remand was granted by a local court in Islamabad when the former army officer was produced in the court of Judicial Magistrate Abbas Shah on the day of his arrest.
During the hearing, the prosecutor told the court that a seven-day physical remand was requested after registering a case against the former three-star general.
Prosecutor Adnan said that the former general tried to spread hatred between the government, opposition and civil servants through his statement on TV.
However, the court rejected the request of the police and sent him to three-day physical remand.
