Worried about unknown or spam calls on WhatsApp? Not to worry, as the messaging app is working on a new feature to mute calls that are bothering them, WaBetaInfo reported on Sunday.
This new feature allows users to silence calls from unknown numbers while displaying them in the call list and notification center.
The new update – which has several benefits such as reducing interruptions and potentially avoiding spam calls – will be available in a future update of the app.
This feature is still under development and has not yet been released to beta testers.
One of the problems that plagued WhatsApp was the possibility of contacting anyone who is part of the community — whether you know that person or not — because the creator’s phone number is always visible.
Anyone can call community creator without any reason or permission which is a serious problem. This is where this feature comes in handy as it will allow users to mute unwanted calls.
“The toggle will be located in the app’s settings and, once enabled, calls from unknown numbers will always be muted, but will still show up in the call list and notification center,” the app tracking website said. The app tracking website said.
