Quetta court issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Imran Khan.

Quetta: A local court in Quetta on Thursday issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan, who is booked in a sedition case against state institutions in the Balochistan capital.

According to the details, the arrest warrant of the ousted prime minister was issued by the Judicial Magistrate, the court directed the authorities to detain Khan and produce him in the court.

On Monday, Quetta police registered a case against Khan in the Bijli Road area for “spreading hatred” against state institutions and their offices, following his latest brutality.

The PTI chief had taunted state institutions amid the drama over his arrest when the Islamabad police arrived at Zaman Park to seek an arrest warrant issued by a local court in the Tosha Khana case.

The case was filed under Sections 153A, 124A and 505 of the Electronic Crimes Act, 2016 by citizen Abdul Khalil Kakar, who said that the PTI chief’s statement was tantamount to destroying public order.
